It’s 2016 and since this blog has a major beauty section, we have decided to start a monthly beauty favorites column. Starting off with January, here are the beauty products from the past month that have impressed us both!
Avon Naturals Treatment Hair Mask with Pomegranate & Camellia, 125ml*
One thing I know now for sure is that I love pomegranate beauty products! I have told you how much I adore Apivita’s Pomegranate face mask and this one by Avon has also become a favorite of mine. It smells amazing, untangles and nourishes my hair. It’s perfect for dyed hair but on my opinion the product is suitable for any hair type. Of course, it cannot be classified as a professional hair product like those that I have tried in the past but I must say that for its price it’s pretty impressive. It’s great for travelling due to its compact and handy packaging.
Avon Footworks Relaxing Soak with Pomegranate & Chocolate, 100ml*
Another awesome pomegranate product is this foot soak that also contains chocolate! I must say it smells amazing and it’s like heaven for my feet when dissolved in water. My feet are the one part of my body that I feel I should be spending more time and care on. Therefore, recently besides from the regular pedicures, I started soaking, scrubing and massaging them at least once a week. This product softens, nourishes and relaxes them for sure. Recommend giving it a try!
Lancome La Laque Fever Lipgloss, #306 Woody Rose Satin
What I love about this product it’s thicker than a lipgloss but still has a lovely glow and lasts a long time. It’s a bit sticky, however it definitely lasts for a few hours when I’m out drinking or eating. The colour is dark burgundy which is a bit vampy and gothic, goes great with black, formal clothes.
Avon Ultra Color Lipstick, #Red 2000*
That’s the latest bold lipstick that I tried and can definitely say that I love! First of all, it’s very affordable, the texture is super soft and nourishing, and the colour is very long lasting! I got the shade Red 2000, which is perfect for a bold lip and goes great with very thin and precise black eyeliner and lots of mascara.
Catrice Absolute Eye Colour Mono Eyeshadow, #960 Choc’Late Night Show
A year ago I got a Catrice eye shadow palette and adored the copper, shimmery shade that came with it. I’ve been on the hunt for a similar one ever since and I think I finally found it! It’s perfect for a more natural smokey eye because it’s not super dramatic but it’s elegant enough. It’s not greasy and lasts for the whole night when combined with a nice primer.
Maybelline Colorama Blush, #401
Lately, I’ve been using more bronzer than blush for my face but the overall appearance always looks better with pinkish cheeks. That’s why this Maybelline product came into handy and became a recent favourite of mine- it’s more like a highlighter since it gives my cheeks a nice glow but doesn’t accentuate on them too much. Perfect for contouring lovers!
Golden Rose Matte Top Coat
I haven’t talked about nail polish in a long time, so I decided to include a recent very affordable discovery. If you’re into matte nails then you should definitely give this top coat a try, it can transform your favourite nail polish into a gorgeous matte version in seconds! Dries out very fast and as I mentioned before, is really affordable!
