5 Shades of Red

After the whole fuzz about 50 Shades of Grey movie (which I still haven’t watched and don’t plan on watching any time soon!), come my top 5 shades of red lipstick! Check out my guide on how to style your lips with the colour of passion. First off with the classic lipsticks! When you’re going out pick a more passionate look with deep, burning red. Those that I’m using are Rimmel 850 Rouge (similar here) and a little bit lighter version by BeYu in 384 Ruby Drop. Both lipsticks have a great moisturising texture, hydrating the lips for a long time, also giving them a shiny touch. The one by BeYu lasts longer than the Rimmel one, even though both are pretty durable. If those are too spicy for you and you’re more a natural looking kinda gal, go for a dark pinkish shade like Golden Rose Velvet Matte 02* that I have. This one as you already guessed is a matte lipstick, which makes it great for a more natural day look! You can read the full review of that product here. The last two are pencil lipsticks in darker shades. The Miss Sporty Instant Lip Colour & Shine Plum Twist 02 looks purple on the photo but on my lips it’s more of a dark vampy red, definitely a great colour for a formal event! Whereas, Avene’s Couvrance Duo Lip and Lip Contour* I use more during the day since its colour is more natural and keeps my lips hydrated.
