I can’t believe it’s March already! Here are some of February’s highlights for me, which I spent both in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Enjoy the photos!

Museum van Boijmans
If you travel to Rotterdam there is plenty of fun activites to try out but don’t miss out on the cultural stuff! I have been living in this vibrant city for the past 4 years and still find new and exciting things to do. One of them is museum visits and art! I really like modern art and always aim at visiting museums and galleries that exhibit such pieces whereever I go. Some of my favorite places that I have visited are Kiasma in Helsinki and Fondazione Prada in Milan. In February, I went to Museum van Boijmans with a friend of mine and ended up having a great time! One of the best in their permanent collection is the Infinity room by Yayoi Kusama. Also, go to Kunsthal if you’re in town – that one is dedicated entirely to contemporary art. Next, I really wanna visit Museum Voorlinden near the Hague, so hopefully I’ll find the time soon.
Chinese New Year
It’s the year of the Dog, which is my Chinese zodiac! It might sound exciting but actually the predictions say that it would be a hard year for the Dogs.. So I guess I’ll have to push hard! Besides from that we had a very lovely day because it was super sunny in Rotterdam and we managed to have a long walk around the city, enjoying the celebrations. We got some bubble tea and also went to a few Chinese stores to buy all kinds of Asian food to snack on, including mochi – which is basically a Japanese rice dessert with different fillings. It was my first time trying this out and I must say it’s amazingly weird but super delicious. I can’t wait to go to China in June and try out all kinds of weird local food!
Overall February was nice, mostly because of the sunny weather for most of the month, which is not really normal for Holland. Despite the fact that I’m pretty busy with work, uni and most of all my master thesis, I always try to find time for new and exciting things to do in the weekends. How was your February?
